what to expect during our sessions

Beginning therapy can feel unfamiliar. Here's an overview of the process and what you can expect when working together.

Beginning therapy can bring up uncertainty and it can be helpful to have a sense of what the process may look like. Every therapeutic journey is different, but the information below offers an overview of how we may work together and the kind of support you can expect along the way.

A grounded, flexible therapeutic process

You can expect a space that is:

  • calm, confidential and non-judgmental

  • focused on both insight and practical change

  • guided by psychological evidence and clinical experience

  • responsive to your emotional and nervous system states

Many clients come in feeling overwhelmed, disconnected or constantly “on edge.” Over time, therapy supports a return to greater clarity and self-trust.

I understand that reaching out for support can feel daunting and I aim to create a calm, compassionate space where you feel genuinely heard and understood
