Welcome
Alignment Psychology is a boutique psychology practice offering thoughtful, evidence-based support for women in midlife, professionals, caregivers and high-functioning individuals navigating stress, burnout, anxiety, emotional fatigue and personal transition.
I’m Jacqueline Lyons, a registered psychologist with over 20 years of clinical experience. As a mother of four, I understand the complexity of modern life - the invisible emotional load, constant responsibility and pressure of holding everything together while quietly feeling overwhelmed beneath the surface. I have a particular interest in supporting women through midlife and the menopausal transition, as well as individuals who may appear capable externally yet feel disconnected from themselves internally.
Alignment Psychology provides a calm, confidential, and deeply personalised therapeutic space designed to support emotional wellbeing, nervous system restoration and meaningful long-term change. My approach integrates evidence-based therapies including CBT, ACT, mindfulness and psychoeducation within a holistic, nervous-system informed framework that supports greater clarity, resilience, emotional regulation and self-understanding.
Many clients reach out at a point where life no longer feels sustainable - feeling constantly switched on, mentally exhausted despite functioning well, or uncertain about who they are beneath the demands of daily life. Therapy offers an opportunity to slow down, reconnect inwardly and develop a more grounded and integrated relationship with yourself.
Together, we work toward cultivating greater emotional balance, calm confidence and lasting wellbeing - supporting you not only to move beyond stress and overwhelm, but to reconnect with a steadier, more authentic way of living.
a space for meaningful change
Therapy at Alignment Psychology is warm, collaborative and intentionally personalised. Sessions offer a refined and supportive space to pause, reflect and feel genuinely understood - particularly for those who are used to carrying significant responsibility for others while quietly feeling emotionally depleted themselves.
Many clients come to therapy feeling emotionally stretched, disconnected from themselves, or unable to fully switch off despite functioning well externally. Others may be navigating burnout, midlife transition, anxiety, emotional fatigue or a growing sense that something within no longer feels aligned.
My therapeutic process is grounded in compassionate, evidence-based care and tailored thoughtfully to each individual. Alongside practical strategies and psychological insight, the work focuses on nervous system support, emotional processing, self-regulation, and developing sustainable ways of moving through life with greater steadiness and clarity.
Rather than focusing solely on symptom relief, therapy is centred on deeper transformation - helping clients reconnect with themselves more fully, strengthen emotional resilience and cultivate a calmer, more balanced and meaningful way of living over time.
