Welcome

A personalised therapeutic experience for reflective adults seeking meaningful change.

Alignment Psychology is a boutique psychology practice offering depth-oriented, evidence-based support for women in midlife, professionals, caregivers and high-functioning individuals experiencing stress, burnout, anxiety and life transitions.

I’m Jacqueline Lyons, a registered psychologist with over 20 years of clinical experience. I work with people who appear capable and composed externally, yet feel emotionally exhausted, disconnected or overwhelmed beneath the surface.

My practice offers a calm, confidential and highly personalised space to slow down, make sense of your experience and create sustainable psychological change. I integrate evidence-based approaches including CBT, ACT, mindfulness and psychoeducation to support emotional regulation, nervous system steadiness and practical change in daily life.

This practice may be a good fit if you:

  • appear capable but feel emotionally depleted

  • struggle to switch off or truly rest

  • feel disconnected from yourself despite functioning well

  • are navigating midlife or identity transition

  • tend to over-function or carry significant responsibility

  • want both insight and practical, grounded support

a space for meaningful change

Therapy at Alignment Psychology is a calm, collaborative and individually tailored process that provides space to pause, reflect and feel supported in a considered way.

Many people seek support when they reach a point where internal strain begins to outweigh their usual capacity to cope - often while continuing to meet external demands and responsibilities. This can present as persistent tension, emotional fatigue, difficulty unwinding, or a sense of being stretched beyond sustainable limits.

My approach is grounded in evidence-based psychological practice, combined with reflective exploration and practical, applied strategies. The focus is on supporting emotional regulation, deepening insight and developing tools that can be integrated into everyday life in a steady and workable way.

Therapy may support:

  • reduced emotional reactivity and internal pressure

  • improved capacity to rest and recover mentally

  • greater ease in managing ongoing stressors

  • clearer interpersonal boundaries and decision-making

  • increased awareness of long-standing relational or behavioural patterns

  • more adaptive ways of responding to responsibility and demand

  • improved emotional clarity and internal stability

  • gradual release of patterns that contribute to depletion or overextension

  • more easeful navigation of significant life or role transitions

  • improved relational presence and engagement

  • strengthened resilience under sustained pressure

  • a more coherent and grounded sense of direction over time

Over time, this process supports a more stable internal baseline, allowing for greater clarity, flexibility and steadiness in how life is experienced and managed.
